Course Synopsis

This 4-month A2 Key for Schools (Stage 2) programme is designed to help international students applying for Singapore school admission attain:

  1. a minimum Cambridge English score of 100 and above for AEIS Primary 2 admission 

  2. a minimum Cambridge English score of 120 and above for AEIS Primary 3 admission


Formerly known as Cambridge English: Key for Schools (KET for Schools), A2 Key for Schools is part of the Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ).


Who Should Attend
International students applying for Singapore school admission who need to meet a minimum Cambridge English score of 100 and above for AEIS/S-AEIS Primary 2 admission and a minimum Cambridge English score of 120 and above for AEIS/S-AEIS Primary 3 admission.

Formerly known as Cambridge English: Preliminary for Schools (PET for Schools), B1 Preliminary for Schools is part of Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ).

Primary school applicants are required to attain the minimum score in the Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) test before submitting an AEIS or S-AEIS application.

This 4-month programme is designed specifically to help Primary School applicants meet the minimum score in Cambridge English Qualification (CEQ) so as to qualify for AEIS exam application.

This course will help your child improve his/her skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking—the key components of language.  


At the end of the programme, your child with a B1 Preliminary qualification should be able to:

  • read simple textbooks and articles in English

  • write letters and emails on everyday subjects

  • understand factual information

  • show awareness of opinions and mood in spoken and written English

The Cambridge English Score (CES) is valid within 12 months before the submission date of the AEIS or S-AEIS application.

Upon Completion:

Take Cambridge English Assessment (CAE) B1 Preliminary for Schools to attain a minimum score of 140 and above for AEIS/S-AEIS Primary 5 admission.
